Dr. Pere Joan Cardona, awarded with the first Ramón Pla Armengol prize on respiratory medicine
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Pere Joan Cardona and his research team (Institut Germans Trias) have been awarded with the first Ramón Pla Armengol biennial prize due to his work to obtain a therapeutic vaccine for tuberculosis and, particularly, for the social impact and transfer component of the initative.
BRN’s scientific committee is the responsible for electing the laureate.
The official prize giving will take place on 13 June 2014 in Caixa Forum in Barcelona, within the BRN symposium “From systems Personalized medicine to biology. ”
